Set up a publisher source

Connect a Partner Center publisher account so Transakt can fulfil your Marketplace offers.

A publisher source connects one Partner Center publisher account to your workspace. You need the Marketplace manager role.

Before you start

  1. In your Microsoft Entra tenant, register an application for this publisher account and create a client secret (or upload a certificate).
  2. In Partner Center, add the application under Account settings › User management with the Manager role, so Transakt can read your offer catalogue.

Add the source

  1. Open Partner settings › Integrations › Publisher sources and choose Add publisher source.
  2. Enter a Display name (your own label), the Partner Center publisher id, the Tenant id where the application is registered, the Application (client) id, and the client secret value (not its id) or the certificate (PFX).
  3. Save. Transakt tests the credential before storing anything: it gets a token, lists your Marketplace subscriptions and reads your catalogue. If a check fails, nothing is stored and the dialog says which check failed. Secrets are kept in a key vault and never shown again.

Connect it in Partner Center

The source's page shows the values to enter in Partner Center. For each SaaS offer sold through this account, open Technical configuration and enter:

  • the Landing page URL: https://{your Customer Portal}/marketplace/landing;
  • the Connection webhook: the source's webhook URL on the API host;
  • the Microsoft Entra tenant ID and application ID shown.

The landing page URL uses your primary Customer Portal address: update Partner Center if you change it under Domains.

Keep it healthy

  • Test connection re-runs the checks at any time.
  • Rotate credential before the secret or certificate expires (a warning appears 30 days before). The new credential is tested before it replaces the current one.
  • Disable stops picking up new purchases through the source; existing subscriptions keep working. Delete is possible only when no subscription or offer mapping uses the source.

Next: map your offers.
