Products, editions and plans
Build your catalogue, sell in tiers, and set prices and capabilities.
Open Catalogue › Products. You need the Catalogue manager role; online prices need Payments manager. See Products, editions and plans for the model.
Add a product
Choose Add product and give it a Product id (it cannot change later: your applications use it), a name and description in each of your languages, its product types and categories. Upload a logo from the product page. If you sell on Marketplace, you can instead start from your Marketplace offers.
Plans and what they include
A new product has one edition, so its page simply shows What every plan includes and Plans.
- What every plan includes: the capabilities, in two sections. Features are switches (included or not); Limits are numbers. Use dotted ids such as
reports.exportorprojects.max. - Add plan: a Plan id, names, the Billing model (Flat rate or Per user, used in every channel), and optionally a free trial.
- On a plan's page: What this plan includes shows its effective capabilities and where each comes from; Change overrides sets a different value for a capability of its edition, for this plan only.
Sell in tiers
When you sell tiers such as Basic and Business, choose Sell in tiers in the product's menu: your existing plans stay in the first tier, and a second edition is created. Then:
- Add edition for more tiers, each with its own capabilities and a description customers see.
- Change order (or Move up and Move down): the lowest tier first. Moving to a higher edition is an upgrade, to a lower one a downgrade.
- Move to another edition on a plan regroups it. Its live subscriptions report the new edition from their next entitlement check; no webhook is sent, and the dialog asks you to confirm.
- An edition can be deleted once it has no plans.
Online prices
On a plan's page, Online prices lists what customers pay by card or Revolut Pay. Add price: currency (GBP, EUR or USD), billing period (monthly or yearly), pricing model (flat or per seat) and the amount including tax. Prices are never edited: archive a price and add a new one. Online purchase also needs your Revolut Business account connected (Partner settings › Integrations › Revolut connection, Payments manager), a terms URL in Branding, and Online purchase turned on in Billing settings, where you also choose the currencies and the renewal and retry timings.
