Map Marketplace offers
Connect your Marketplace offers and plans to your products, editions and plans with the guided mapping.
Mapping tells Transakt which of your plans a Marketplace purchase is for. You need the Marketplace manager role and an active publisher source.
1. Bring in your offers
Open Catalogue › Marketplace offers and choose Sync catalogue. Transakt reads your SaaS offers and plans from Partner Center. Each offer shows how many of its plans are Mapped, Not mapped, Suggested or Need attention, and a banner points you to the next step.
2. Review an offer
Choose Review mapping on an offer.
- Which product is this offer? Use an existing product (the one whose id matches the offer id is suggested) or create a new product, prefilled with the offer's name and id.
- Plans. Each Marketplace plan is shown with its facts in plain language (Per user or Flat rate, Licences managed by Microsoft, Free trial, Private, Stop sell, Preview only) and a Maps to picker:
- a suggested target is preselected, with the reason (the plan id matches, the name matches an edition, or a new edition is proposed);
- you can pick an existing plan, a new plan in an existing edition, or a new plan in a new edition;
- plans you cannot choose are shown disabled with the reason: already mapped from another Marketplace plan, or of another billing model.
- Accept a single row, or Accept suggestions for all of them. A summary shows what will be created (new product, editions, plans) before anything is saved, and everything is applied together.
The rules behind it
- Each Marketplace plan maps to one of your plans, and each of your plans to at most one Marketplace plan per publisher source. To sell the same tier through several offers, map them to separate plans in the same edition: they share its capabilities.
- A Marketplace plan maps only to a plan with the same billing model (per user or flat rate).
- Needs attention marks a plan listed by two of your sources, a mapped plan Partner Center no longer lists, or a plan whose billing model Partner Center now reports differently. Resolve explains what to do.
- A mapping in use by live subscriptions cannot be changed or removed; the action shows how many subscriptions use it.
Metering dimensions
For a flat-rate plan, Metering dimensions (in the row's menu) lists the custom meters your application reports usage on. Enter the dimension ids exactly as in Partner Center, or Fetch from Marketplace from a live subscription. Per-user plans cannot have custom meters; this is a Microsoft Marketplace rule.
Map all offers without review (in the toolbar menu) maps every offer with its suggestions at once and skips offers that would conflict.
